Hi, I've been working with the mantra OM for a while now as the instructor in the Practical Spirituality Course suggested and I've had experiences where it's difficult for me to chant the mantra mentally while I engage in conversation or many other activities at the same time. My question is, would it be better to learn to concentrate on something more obvious or physical first, or should keep practicing the mental chant until I can get it?

The attempt to use the mantra is how you will develop the skills you need.
