Hi I am just looking for some quick information and hopefully it will help some other students who are also experiencing the same.

I have been meditating for 2 years now consistenty everyday. What I have found is that when I am NOT meditating, 90% of the time my conscious awareness is always pulled and directed deep inside my being, my inner world, where there seems to be bliss, peace, love, calmness and contentment always radiating out from and spreading out to the rest of my body and into my mind. Then when I direct my awareness outwards or if a certain outer event/interaction draws my consciousness outward I notice all those positive feelings subside, but there is always a feeling of my consciousness being magnetically pulled back into my being, where everything feels perfect and joyful.

I would like to know why does this happen and if this is normal to experience or not? Is this the right direction I'm going in? I would appreciate your professional advice on how to distinguish what is happening and if you can help me improve on this.

Thank you in advance.:)

As with many experiences, there is no need to explain or comment. Study them, reflect upon them, but never forget that whether you are feeling "bliss" or not, the ego is still alive. Rather than falling to fascination with inner states, it is better to direct attention towards the practical facts of our situation.
