Having dignity was a term that i heard in the bodhisattva lectures and was said to be important to have for oneself, and especially to those walking the bodhisattva path.
How does that apply to us studying the gnostic teachings, and how does that differ from pride?
Also can an example or examples be given to clarify the term in practice and to distinguish it from other actions that seem similar?

Thank you
Dignity is another term for humility, which knows how to protect one's rights without bringing harm to another.

Dignity is inner strength, tolerance, and the ability to act with purity, virtue, and selflessness in the face of corruption, solely for the benefit of others.

Pride is mental and emotional violence, which seeks to disregard or ignore the will and wellbeing of one's neighbor.

Pride wants to humiliate or harm others in order to feel satisfied, exalted, and powerful. Dignity wants to be humble in order to act for, protect, and exalt others.
Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low: and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough places plain. -Isaiah 40:4
