The name David דוד has two letter Daleths, two doors, namely, one in Daath-the throat, and the other in Yesod-sex, in between them is the letter Vav, which represents the spinal medulla. When we unite these two doors through alchemy, we then receive the Vav, the power of the staff of Aaron, the staff of the Shepherds.

As any shepherd of the straight path, we have to reach the level of Malachim (King) in Tiphereth through Daath in order to fight with cognizance against the invaders of our consciousness in Malkuth and to liberate the sheep or archetypes of Israel who are trapped within the Philistines in Klipoth (the bowels or Malkuth).

“And through (his kabbalistic phallus) his - יד Iod – hand he took his staff (spinal medulla) , and choose for him five (the lower letter Hei of Iod-Hei-Vav-Hei) smooth stones (namely, Malkuth, Yesod, Hod, Netzach and Tiphereth) out of the (creative sexual) watercourse (of Yesod-sex), and put them in a shepherd's receptacle (heart) which he had, even in a scrip; and his sling [was] in (his kabbalistic phallus) his - יד Iod – his hand: and he drew near to the Philistine (Goliath, his Ego of Lust).” - 1 Shamuel 17: 40
