Hello,

Recently i ve been contemplating this vice.

I understand how anger, lust, pride, envy, gluttony get energy from the intellectual animal, but i m not clear about laziness. Specially laziness regarding malkut. It sims that
laziness is like a agent to other vices, working with them in pairs, which would also explain the effect laziness has on the consciousness, keeping it a sleep.

Is this primary function of laziness? How else does it still energy from the human machine?

Thank you for your service.

Laziness is also a desire: the desire to do nothing, to take it easy, relax, watch tv, daydream, space out, etc. In each case, it is stealing the energy that should be used for self-awareness, comprehension, etc. Laziness is VERY fat in modern people.

It wants others to do the work for it. It always thinks there is an easier way. It convinces that there is time later to do the work. Etc

Laziness is the opposite of diligence, zeal, the part of the consciousness that is energized and enthusiastic about awakening, generosity, chastity, etc.

Thank you for reply mr. Alexis.

One follow up if i may...

Pride feeds itself trough desire to be admired, coveted, etc
Anger feeds itself trough hate, trough desire to inflict pain etc

Desire is expressed trough any of the centers or any combination of them and for most main vices the process is rather logical.

Regarding laziness i m not so clear of how does it get its energy from human maschine. If a person is identified with it, that usualy means that he/she
doesn t do what he/she should do.

So is one by not doing a task feeding laziness?

Are those mental/emotional scenarios of, where one finds an excusse to not do something, or perhaps finds some other ego/desire, energetic "food" for laziness?

What if you have no energy to do a particular practice so you say later is this also laziness?
