At my new work, I deal with very angry people. Often the anger is directed at me (sometimes for a mistake I made, sometimes for nothing I've done). I'm very thin-skinned and habitually let the anger hurt me in the moment -- dwelling on it later, how I could have done better, etc.
I'm working to observe such moments (goodness, and my own anger!), see how the angry person is suffering, and make my unconscious reactions conscious -- but any additional advice would be greatly appreciated.

The chapter on patience in Shantideva's Way of the Bodhisattva is something I go back to again and again in order to meditate and comprehend the nature of patience.
The lecture below also covers this part of the text in a wonderful and comprehensive way and can teach you how to comprehend and overcome suffering, hatred, and the afflictions.

For thirty years I sought God. But when I looked carefully I found that in reality God was the seeker and I the sought. -Bayazid al-Bastami
