Jahve
Hi there instructors,
I was reading a quote from master samael speaking of jahve as being the secret author of the crucifixion of jesus? And the roman soldiers who crucified the beloved one were constituiting the honorable gaurds of jahve. This is confusing to me, as what I have gathered from gnosis on this site and elsewhere is that jesus actually did not physically die but it was a psychological death and it was presented in the allegory in the bible. So what does that excerpt mean? This only makes me more confused on this path, one thinks they know something them boom another u-turn. So was samael saying here that jesus was actually crucified? And if not please I would very much appreciate the elucidation of this message.
Thanks once again.

The Bible was enacted in the same manner as a play. Certain masters played the roles of narrative figures, representing principles in the cosmos and of nature. While the principles are real, they were symbolized by actual individuals who existed in the past.
Jesus physically played the role of Christ in the cosmic drama. He sacrificed himself, physically, to demonstrate a truth we need to live within ourselves. Jesus allowed himself to be crucified by those demons so as to teach us something profound, for the liberation of our soul.
It is difficult to comprehend the compassion of such an act, but such is Christ!

For thirty years I sought God. But when I looked carefully I found that in reality God was the seeker and I the sought. -Bayazid al-Bastami
