Hi Masters,

In your FAQ page of TitleHow Do I Find a Spouse included some verses from the bible, which i don't quite understand. I'm not good with interpreting metaphors or biblical message. The impression i get after reading it, is to simply just wait until a partner comes into your life and that there is nothing that one could do aside from waiting. Could any teacher kindly confirm this?

Thank you

Firstly, do not call us masters. Only the Being is the master. :)

You find a spouse by performing your spiritual work and keeping your eyes open. To quote Almustafa from a private response to a similar question:
Verses from Surah al-Nur, "The Light" from the Qur'an:
26. Vile [fornicating] women are for vile [fornicating] men, and vile [fornicating] men for vile [fornicating] women. Believing women [who practice transmutation] are for believing men [who practice transmutation], and believing men [who practice transmutation] for believing women [who practice transmutation]. These are absolved of what they say about them. For them is forgiveness and a noble provision.

30. Tell the faithful men to cast down their looks [from lust] and to guard their private parts. That is more decent for them. Allah is indeed well aware of what they do.

33. Those who cannot afford marriage [from not having enough dharma] should be chaste until Allah enriches them out of His grace.

Joyful in hope, suffering in tribulation, be thou constant in thy prayer.

Benedictis, qui venit in nomine Domini. Osanna in excelsis.

"Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord. Hosanna in the highest!"
