Inverential Peace!

When we try to comprehend an ego in meditation, sometimes we may feel as though we have comprehended all that we could. As such, this ego does not have much power over us anymore, supposedly because the consciousness has been extracted, and it no longer controls us. However, it may be that we still feel it while it is in the process of annihilation, correct?
It could also be that we did not comprehend it in all of the 49 levels of the mind, thus, while the control it has over us might seem weaker, it may be that that last level is so deep we can't see it, so it fools us. So how do we go about this? Especially us beginners who don't have much experience with meditation and self-observation. Should we start with easier, shallower egos first?

On another note, Samael Aun Weor stated in the Revolution of the Dialectic that (and I paraphrase) "while the mind can label and categorize, it cannot see the 49 levels of the mind. ONLY the Divine Mother can penetrate into the 49 levels of the mind to annihilate our egos."
Does this mean that our I's can be eliminated without having been comprehended in all of the 49 levels? Because, how is a beginner student supposed to start dying in themselves if he/she needs to be able to penetrate that deep into her unconsciousness? Can the Divine Mother eliminate demons that have not been comprehended 100%?
The Master Samael illustrates something like this when he talked about that ego of lust that he could not eliminate (the one with the shape of a horse, that came out of his backbone). He said no matter how much he meditated on it, it would not die, and he would find himself in the internal worlds doing the ego's bidding (kissing and passionately loving a woman in her apartment). As such, the Lords of Karma sentenced him (or his ego, rather) to the abyss, and it got annihilated, despite him not comprehending it fully, as it seems. Does this tale serve to illustrate what I am asking?

You have answered your own questions:
I barely know how to meditate.
Fix that, and the answers will become obvious.

On the matter of the first question, I also suppose that it could be a "cousin" of the comprehended ego (if it was, indeed, comprehended), meaning an ego that is very similar, has similar desires but subtly different, or an ego of the same desire belonging to the intellect instead of the emotional center, per se.

On the matter of the second question, could it be that there are egos that do not exist in all 49 levels of the mind? Shallower, weaker egos that are easy to see and understand because they may only occupy, for example, 20 levels?

Is there a reason why this has not been addressed?
Or is it like a "No answer IS an answer" kind of thing?
I'm not developed enough to gain understanding of these things on my own accord; I barely know how to meditate.
Please help.
