About 6 years ago I started a personal journey of stripping away old religious beliefs and cultural influences (the best I knew how). During that time I was struggling with the question of "what if I am wrong about this?" I was in a great state of confusion. I cried out to "my creator" and begged to be free from my confused and fearful state. What I got was something I had never experienced. Here is what I can remember. I was taken back to the neighborhood I grew up in, which is a delapitated trailer park. The only parts I can remember is that I was chasing a dog for someone and as I ventured to the middle of the park, the clouds in the sky seperated and a beautiful ray of light shined down and a man that I percieved as Jesus, wearing a maroon and gold and a woman dressed in black floated towards me. His face was pure light and he was only what I can describe as high definition, vibrant color. There was a woman with him, who was what I percieved as absolutely beautiful, but she would not look at me and was hiding her face, however I knew she was beautiful, I didn't have to see her. She was dressed in black. Jesus took my hand (his hands soft as a cloud and large) and walked with me and we communicated telepathically he knew I was questioning him, and he said one word, "Believe". He then walked with me where there were other people in line, there were also stables of some sort and there was also a clock on the wall. I do not remember the time, but I remember knowing it was significant. He then let me go before a hooded being who turned around and revealed the most horrid face I have ever seen. I immedietly woke up in pure fear of course and even more confused. This dream has always raised so many questions within me. I have my own weak translations, but am curious to hear the translations of those who might understand the deeper meanings behind some of these symbols. Thank you.

Study the course below, especially the lecture: "How to Meditate on Something."

Joyful in hope, suffering in tribulation, be thou constant in thy prayer.

Benedictis, qui venit in nomine Domini. Osanna in excelsis.

"Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord. Hosanna in the highest!"

Thank you for the response. Agreed, and I will do so. Any suggestions as to where to begin studying dream symbolism? I read the courses on dream yoga, but haven't come across symbol interpretation of any kind. I meditate 1-2 times daily in conjunction with mindfulness and pranayama exercises. I will meditate on this dream and see what insights flow through.

Rather than ask for an interpretation from someone on a forum, it is better to meditate on your experiences and come to your own self-knowledge. That is how you will gain greater independence and understanding of the teachings.

For thirty years I sought God. But when I looked carefully I found that in reality God was the seeker and I the sought. -Bayazid al-Bastami
