Inverential Peace!
Elder brothers, what does the Master mean when he says that "a well-prayed Pater Noster is equal to 1 hour of meditation. Thus, pray the Pater Noster for 1 hour."?
Are to interpret this literally, like an hour of Pater Noster equals 1 hour times 1 hour of a standard meditation? Or better said, X times of Pater Nosters prayed in one hour equals that many meditations worth? (i.e. 50 Pater Nosters in 1 hour equals 50 hours of meditation achieved in the span of 1 hour)
Is the Pater Noster really THAT powerful?
I do love that prayer above all, and it makes me feel humble and loving and all these feelings I consider superior.
I suppose it would make sense if 1 Pater Noster equaled, say, 1 hour of vocalization.
How are we to understand this?
