Greetings:

From a Gnostic perspective, what is the interpretation of Proverbs 18:21"Death and life are in the power of the tongue; and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof". Thank you very much.

Death and life in Yod, tongue and love consumes the power of (the Goddess Freya פריה) its fruits. - Proverb 18: 21

Death and life are two powers within the two seeds or the two letters Yod of Chayim (חיים, the tree of life, the letter Vav); these powers bloom as two fruits (in the two letters Hei, one in the throat and the other in the genitalia; which are) consumed by the tongue (in Daath-Throat) and love (in Yesod-Sex).

Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah,
the Root of David, has prevailed to open the book,
and to loose the seven seals thereof. - Revelation 5: 5

Thank you, Lion of Judah.

I see Yod Hei Vav Hei in your response. Is the verse then relating to the descent of the Divine creative energies with us (cyclically creating life and rejuvenating/recreating through death/rebirth) and the use or misuse of the powers contained therein?

Since the tongue is rooted in the throat (Daath), it is important then to use it wisely in speech as to not abuse or misuse that power? To come to know this, to internalize this creative principal, is to reap and taste that knowledge, that fruit? Your answer placed the second Hei in Yesod representing love of which the misuse of that energy depletes the Divine power within? What then of Vav? Is it represented in Tiphareth and what is the corresponding attribute?

Am I interpreting this correctly?

I am very grateful for your help in understanding/interpreting biblical verses.

What then of Vav?

The (חיים Chayim: the Yod, the shakti potential of the) fires of (Vav) the heart control the ascension of the (Yod, the shakti potential of the) Kundalini through the medullar canal. The Kundalini develops, evolves, and progresses according to the merits of (Vav) the heart. The Kundalini is the primordial energy enclosed within the Church of Ephesus.

A great deal has been stated about the universal language (Daath). However, we can speak it only when we incarnate the Soul, when the Kundalini flourishes on our fertile lips made Word. When humanity left paradise as a result of spilling the semen, it forgot the divine language that flows majestically like a river of gold through the thick jungle of the Sun. The roots of all languages correspond to the divine primitive language. Sexual Magic is the only path that exists in order to once again speak the golden language. A close relationship exists between the sexual organs and the creative larynx (the two Hei). - Samael Aun Weor

And let thy loving-kindnesses also come unto me, O YHVH, Even thy Yeshuah, according to thy word.
And shall I have an answer for him that reproaches me: for I trust in thy Logos.
And take not the word of truth utterly out of my mouth; for I have hoped in thy ordinances.
And shall I keep thy law continually for ever and ever.
And I will walk at liberty: for I have sought thy precepts.
And I will also speak of thy testimonies before the Malachim, and will not be ashamed.
And I will delight myself in thy commandments, which I have loved.
And My hands also will I lift up unto thy commandments, which I have loved; and I will meditate in thy statutes. - Psalm 119: 41-48

I will continue to meditate and trust in the Logos. I know that I am free as long as I meditate on the Laws and keep steadfast on the path. I know that the Energy is within, but external forces press hard at times. Nonetheless, I keep keeping on knowing that my Divine Mother, My Lady, Holy Ama, is with me always!

Psalm 19:14 came to mind, so I close with it and say thank you so very much. I greatly appreciate your immediate reply.

"Let the Words of my Mouth, and the meditation of my Heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O YHVH, my strength and my Redeemer"
