Hi all,

Wondering about two statements made in Jeremiah 51 and if you might have insight: on one hand it reads, " flee from Babylon! Save yourselves! Don't get trapped in her punishment! It is the Lords time for vengeance." Then a couple of sentences later, it reads "weep for her and give her medicine. Perhaps she can be healed." Im wondering what this medicine might be. One runs and administers medicine at the same time. My intellect is giving it the idea that the medicine is prayer and compassion for Babylon as one flees it. I'll meditate on this. Hope your days are bright and joyous!
Babylon בבל is (the sinful soul, Tiphereth, who) is suddenly fallen and destroyed (because of vanity, pride and fornication): wail for her; take balm for her pain, if so be she may be healed. - Jeremiah 51: 8

Therefore is the name of it called בבל Babel (Babylon); because (of vanity, pride and fornication) יהוה did there (in their hearts) confound the language of all the earth: and from thence (Tiphereth) did יהוה scatter them abroad upon the face of all the earth (Malkuth). - Genesis 10: 10

Confusion of language exist where there is confusion of the meaning of the word of God within the sacred scriptures because of vanity, pride and fornication!

בבל = Babylon or Babel is confusion of tongues or letters.

The balm or medicine is in the correction of the letters so that the tongue can pray from the heart לבב!

Trust in יהוה with all thine לבב heart; and lean not unto thine own (בבל babble) understanding. - Proverb 3: 5
