“The four Gospels are intimately related with the magisterium of fire. It is absurd to interpret the four Gospels literally. The Gospels are completely symbolic.” - Samael Aun Weor, The Perfect Matrimony
Mary מרים Miriam: the raw matter of the great work
Johannan יוחנן: “One who is a gift from God,” which is the Word, Christ.
Joseph יוסף IO-Seph, IO-Cephas: “which is by interpretation, a stone,” the stone of IO, Yesod.
So, this is alchemical, not literal.
When “Mary” wants to (alchemically) marry “Johannan,” first she has to descend to Yesod, the ninth sphere, sex, and marry “Joseph” since it is through Cephas that Mary, the raw matter of the great work, is sublimated, raised (מרים), reevaluated (לייסף).
Joseph Pandir or Panther, an initiate or soldier of the Romae (Amore), refers to the panther's skin of Dionysus, from where Jesus got the name “Jesus Ben Panther," that is, the son of a tiger knight, a soldier of Panther – a two syllable word composed of Pan and Theos, and which means the pantheon of all the gods or parts of the Being of all initiates. So, the panther's skin represents the raiments or attributes, of all the parts of our individual Being, or Inner God, with which Yeshuah, the "Child of Chokmah, the Child of God," or the highest part of our Inner Israel, was predestined to be bestowed.
The rape of Mary by Joseph Pandir is the same rape of Persephone, a classical mythological subject, depicting the abduction of the raw matter of the great work by the bestial egotistical forces that we have to confront.
The physical crucifixion of Jesus actually happened, yet in esotericism the crucifixion always had an alchemical spiritual signification, and it is to the alchemical spiritual significance that the birth of Christ refers to, not to the birth of his tridimensional physical body that modern theologians refer to.
This alchemical wedding of the soul with the spirit which is very well known in Pantheism, is very well embodied in the crucifixion of Jesus. God is within all creatures and develops all of his parts through the purification of INRI, the fire, which is Christ. Any Monad that longs for mastery has to pass through the alchemical crucifixion of the raw matter of the great work.
