I would like to start by saying that i personally do not believe the earth is flat, but i had some questions regarding the scriptures people always quotes to support there flat earth beliefs. the belief is in a flat stationary earth being the center of the universe around which the heavens rotate. from verses about angels at the four corners of the earth to the devil showing all the kingdoms of earth to jesus on a mountain top to david causing the sun to stand still in battle the flat earthers love to use very literal interpretations of scripture to back up their beliefs.
here are some example

1 Chronicles 16:30: “He has fixed the earth firm, immovable.”
Psalm 93:1: “Thou hast fixed the earth immovable and firm ...”
Psalm 96:10: “He has fixed the earth firm, immovable ...”
Psalm 104:5: “Thou didst fix the earth on its foundation so that it never can be shaken.”
Isaiah 45:18: “...who made the earth and fashioned it, and himself fixed it fast...”

there are many more but i think you get the point, my question is how are these verses of scripture meant to be interpreted? obviously the earth is not flat, but these verses could point to that idea if not properly understood.

i have come to an idea that when "the earth" is spoken of in the verses it may be referring to the physical Human since it says the earth is firm on its foundation, and the foundation could be Yesod where humans are rooted, but this is just speculation.

thank you
