I'm an avid gardener and have found that worm dirt promotes plant growth better than any fertilizer.
There are several plastic containers in my basement full of worms to which I add leaves and certain types of food waste.
My question: From a sacred space perspective, are composting worms like garbage, that can attract negative energy and be a bad idea for a gnostic student?

Setting aside the food scraps and other natural materials in compost, the rest of what we put in the trash is generally filthy and obviously varies by household and personal habits. The point is a general one, to keep oneself and ones home clean.

May I change the emphasis of the question away from the worms and towards the garbage?
I assume it would be a hazard to the sacred space to have a huge pile of rotting garbage in the basement, but on the other hand, the amount of garbage the worms consume in natural process is okay.
So what exactly creates the danger to a gnostic student (cleanliness is next to Godliness)?
Why is it recommended that you take the trash out frequently, how does trash attract negative energy?
Is it the state of decay of the garbage: 1 day, 1 week, 1 month etc.
Is it the amount: a lunch bag, a barrel, a dumpster etc.
Thank you, I appreciate your work on this site very much.
