I received an email saying that network for good will offer matched donations on 1 December. Last year I thought that meant that they would match 100%, in other words double your donation. But it turned out to be much less than that.
Network for good takes a commission, which is negligible when the donation is small. But for larger amounts, is there a better way to donate to gnosticteachings.org?

Network for Good, which is also a nonprofit organization, has expenses in order to exist and perform their service, so they charge 3% per donation. In most cases, this fee is negligible. For example, for handling a $100 donation to Glorian, they charge $3. Every other electronic donation method has similar or even higher fees, such as through PayPal, any credit card, etc.
If you feel those fees are unreasonable, there are other donation methods mentioned on our donation page.

Thank you for supporting Glorian!

If you find our resources useful and want others to benefit as well, make a donation to Glorian Publishing. Every donation makes a difference.
Yes, compared to other online purchase services 3% really is quite reasonable. It seems that would be the best option available for donations of less than $1000.
I ask this question because I think I recall a few years ago seeing something about sending donations by wire transfer to a bank account. That might be more efficient for donations above a certain amount. Is that option available?

When I donate through network for good, does paypal also take a commission? In the above responces it says:
So when I donate 100 dollars. how much does Glorian gets?
100 - 3% = 97%
or
100 - 3% - commission of paypal?
Sorry for the confusion. Anyway donating is more important than finding out the best way to donate, thank you for your reply.

All credit cards and most electronic donation methods (such as PayPal) charge for the transaction. In most cases, the fee is such a small amount it is not worth worrying much about. In the case of donating via PayPal through Network for Good, I believe both charge for that.
In the case of large donations, since the percentage will result in a higher amount of money, it is better to donate via check or cash.
