Some time ago I purchased a harmonica to play, most of the training material I found was using blues inspired notes. I don't particularly listen to that sort of music but for training purposes I didn't mind a whole lot. So I practiced and watched some videos to learn it. As you may know, to learn an instrument you need to keep practicing, so I was repeating those notes many times.

After some time I had a very vivid lucid dream with a distinct harmonica melody playing throughout the whole episode, It didn't necessarily feel negative, I would say bizarre is a better way to describe it all considering the whole thing involved an alcoholics bar (in a fancy trailer somewhere in the desert), which was populated by strange looking people that had the same expression as the music itself (lazy and down). I interacted with one such entity but cannot recall what the details were. Had I been consistent with my dream journal I would have had more details of the experience.

I think that due to this experience I considered blues music as contributing to laziness and alcoholism (not good), but also classified the harmonica along with it and practically lost interest, your response made me realize that the instrument itself is not good or bad, its just how we use it. I guess its the same with anything, a knife, a religion, an instrument etc.

So thank you!
