I have read that when the two nadis, ida and pingala, touch tips in the area near the coccyx then the kundalini awakens. Does this happen spontaneously as a result of sexual transmutation performed correctly and persistently over a period of time or does a gnostic student need to do something additional that deliberately causes them to make contact in this way?
