There appear to be two errors in the Tree of Life poster as shown in the back of such books as The Perfect Matrimony. Sephirah Netzach should be the Sphere of Venus and yet it shows the glyph of Mercury. Sephirah Hod should be the Sphere of Mercury and yet it shows the glyph of the Moon. Can anyone tell me if this is going to be corrected? Or, if it is not an error, explain why it is correct as shown?

Thank you, Matthew. May I ask, then, why the spheres are shown differently in Klipoth? Everything else in this inverted tree is the same, except for the planetary attributions of Netzach and Hod.

The forces of nature are not so easily classified. :) Considering how beautiful and complex the universe is, it is a wonder we can understand anything about it! Fortunately, we have the Kabbalah, which helps.

In synthesis, first understand that the Tree of Life is a very simplified glyph that helps us understand a living reality. As a living, changing phenomena, it is very difficult to apprehend the reality, especially with our consciousness being so conditioned.

You may already know that the ten sephiroth of the Tree of Life are simplified from the Four Worlds, which in themselves are a symbolic representation of the multidimensional unfolding of the Ain Soph.

From this basis, we can understand that our approach to the Tree must remain flexible, else we mistake the symbol for the reality.

Observed from the point of view of the Four Worlds, we know that the ten sephiroth represent many dimensions. This makes it easier to understand that the stellar influences are not so rigid and one dimensional as many think. Instead, they are like waves of energies that overlap and mix. That is what you see represented on the poster.

Still from that point of view, the Four Worlds explain how the Ain Soph condenses into increasing "density" (through multidimensionality), until reaching physicality (Assiah), but here, due to how that energy is modified by the beings in Assiah (you and me), those forces have to descend further, since they have been used to create harm. Therefore, those forces that in the superior levels are very light, abstract, and flexible, become in the lower worlds very limited, narrow, mechanical, and rigid, in increasing densities, until reaching the lowest and densest possible modification (the ninth sphere).

The upper worlds are very light, expansive, flexible, and broad. The lower worlds are increasingly dense, heavy, narrow, and limited.

That, poorly explained, is why the tree looks "different" compared from above to below. It is a question of relative density and mechanicity. Nevertheless, the order of the planets remains the same, even if their "breadth" or "reach" varies: Moon, Mercury, Venus, Sun, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune.
