Shalom Fellow Seekers

I just wanted to clarify - can Yod-Hei-Vav-Hei be used as a chant and a mantra?

I was listening to Christ, Mantra, Mind Protection in Defense for Spiritual Warfare and many of the mantra mentioned therein are of Hindu origin. Given that I am more comfortable with Hebrew, is the aforementioned sacred name an equally effective mantra/chant to focus on?

The instructor mentioned that it's important to be conscious when reciting mantra and never to call the higher powers or deities in vein. I therefore want to make sure that I am not crossing any spiritual lines and am using an effective name as a mantra.

With gratitude

Iod-Chavah is a powerful mantra! Iod... Hei... Vau... Hei... can be vocalized while concentrating on our Being. We can also utilize this mantra to invoke the Elohim.

Dear Almustafa

You say - "Iod... Hei... Vau... Hei... can be vocalized while concentrating on our Being. We can also utilize this mantra to invoke the Elohim".

Also, according to the glossary, Elohim can be understood as follows:

There are many more meanings of “Elohim.” In general, Elohim refers to high aspects of divinity.

"Each one of us has his own Interior Elohim. The Interior Elohim is the Being of our Being. The Interior Elohim is our Father-Mother. The Interior Elohim is the ray that emanates from Aelohim." - Samael Aun Weor, The Gnostic Bible: The Pistis Sophia Unveiled

Based on the above, I'd like to clarify. When I chant the mantra iod-hei-vav-hei, which meaning am I invoking. Am I calling on both the masculine and feminine divine within me - my Divine Father/Mother or am I just energising my being?

I'd like to know what this mantra means to my spiritual development by seeking a deeper understanding of this mantra's actual meaning when being chanted by a seeker as a daily spiritual practice?

This mantra just feels right for me right now, but that is my intuition and I'd like to know why I'm resonating with this mantra of all and what it actually means when I use it in my context.

Ay help or guidance will be much appreciated.
